Genealogy Services – Hours of Operation:

WINTER HOURS (February-April and November-December)
Tuesday through Saturday 9 AM – 5 PM 

SUMMER HOURS (May-October)
Monday through Saturday 9 AM – 5 PM

Closed: Sundays, All of January,  Labor Day Weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day

Research admission to the Cherokee Heritage Center includes access to the CFRC and genealogy library.  The admission fee (Adults:  $12, Seniors:  $10 and youth, grades K-12:  $7) also gives the visitor access to the museum exhibits, the Trail of tears exhibit, a guided tour of the Ancient Cherokee Village and a self-guided tour of Adams Corner Rural Village.

Independent Research
You are welcome to visit the Cherokee Family Research Center to utilize our library for your research.  The library hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm. Genealogy Book List (PDF)

Staff Research 
(Beginning July 1, 2018): To employ one of only two staff genealogists to do your research for you, the ADDITIONAL fees are:

  • $50 per hour for non-members of the Cherokee National Historical Society
  • $30 per hour for members of the Cherokee National Historical Society
