September 4-6 57th Annual Cherokee National Holiday Arts & Crafts Show Features multi-tribal art, craft and food vendors.
September 12 Blowgun Class River cane blowgun making and its history will be the subject of this class. $40 fee and registration required.
September 26 Cherokee Games: Marbles, Stickball, Chunkey Demonstrations and competitive tournaments will feature Cherokee games. Free admission and tournament entry; cash prizes.
October 1 & 2 Ancient Cherokee Days Experience Cherokee life in the 1600’s with an outdoor classroom setting. Targeted for school aged children. Admission $5; registration recommended.
October 3 Pottery Class Introductory course in the history and art of Cherokee pottery. $40 fee and registration required.
October 16 & 17 GWY Stickball Sticks Learn the art of making Cherokee stickball sticks in this two day class. $65 fee and registration required.
November 21 GWY Moccasins Historical perspective & the techniques of pucker toe moccasin making will be presented. $45 fee and registration required.
December 4 & 5 Southeastern Beadwork Class Traditional GWY beadwork, its history and techniques, will be taught. $65 fee and registration required.
